How Can Your Major Make the World a Better Place

I think my major might make a better place because i will communicate the needs of the people. Also, I want to share the opinion of them, so the journalism is the tool I need to improve to do a better world. I see myself as a journalist in newspapers or radio because my university is specialized in that, so I want to be there. Talking to the people listening to them and being part of the solution. I want to show their reality like the father of photojournalism who show us the real society of the USA in the beginning of the twentieth century. If I show the reality, it might be a politician that will create a public policy, a non-governmental society or a person that will help to create a better world. Also, this will be the first step to a better country and then to a better world.

The story of a picture

The story of the photographs starts a Saturday I really don’t remember the date of the photo, but I remember the occasion when it was taken. It was the fourth birthday of my boyfriend´s niece. Her name is emma and she is so cute there were the other nephews of my boyfriend their names are Alonso, Benjamín and Maite also they are cute and polite. Benjamin was the soul of the party he animated very well and gave the presents to Emma. He is the one looking at the surprise box also is a little devil. Well I forgot that the birthday cake was about Frozen emma´s Favorite Movie and the songs were about Disney movies. My boy friend family were very nice with me I felt comfortable with them even they invite me to their vacations. Well to finish I ate a lot of candies and I remember those parties when I was a kid

A food that I really like

I love Japanese food like: Ramen, Onigiri, Teriyaki or Udon but Sushi in my opinion is most delicious because there are a variety of ways to prepare it. The Sushi is a food preparer with fish, rice, nori, and cream cheese, well in the simplest version. For cook is necessary a paper film and nori, itself must extend the rice with hand wetted, put the cream cheese add fish for after gently roll. Finally cut in piece of appropriate size. I like it because is simple, no contain many ingredients. Also, I love all background it has. Japanese food is prepared with a whole philosophy behind it, that the ingredients are treated in a specific way. Sushi is simple, it does not contain many ingredients but when it is spread in soya it becomes very salty. This means that it should be eaten in reasonable quantities.

My favorite piece of technology?

My favorite technological object is my ipad because it helps me to do my drawings and read my mangas. I use it with an apple pencil to do my draws, it´s like to be drawing in a piece of paper and I’m so used to that I don´t draw in paper anymore. I think that it affects my life because draw relaxes me a lot. Instead of going to psychologist I draw or read it is very therapeutical for me. My life has been affected very positively since I bought it for the reason I mention before also I led it to my little sister, and she play so she doesn´t bother me while I study or I use the computer. I totally recommend use an ipad for drawing, reading and little sisters. Also, I recommend it to people who are looking for an “office tablet”, because you can run programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc. very fast. I include a me illustration.

Why did I choose my major?

I study journalism, because I always liked to write and investigate all the topics that crossed my mind. It is interesting to learn what I do not know, but sometimes I get tired of reading. LOL The job I dreamed of was being a marine biologist. I have always liked flora and fauna, as I have always lived surrounded by nature, that why taking care of it and studying it is something that I am passionate about. My other career option was Lawyer and Art History. They are two degrees that seem interesting to me, but journalism will always be my first option, as I love communication, contact with other people and cultures. The online college has been a beautiful place, sometimes I go crazy, but I study what I always wanted.

Who I am?

Hi, I'm Aranza Lineros, I'm nineteen years old, I'm journalism student and I live in center of Santiago, but originally I lived in a place far far away of every human life, in a small town called "Paso Nevado". Now lived with my little sisters and my mother, it's very strange because I never lived with them before. I'm a shy person wich is ironic, because I always wanted study Journalism, investigate and talk whit other people. I have never traveled to another country and I love studying with other cultures. My hobby is drawing, specifically anime characters, which is a style originally from Japan. I also watch a lot of anime series, because they have very elaborate animations considering that these productions are made by hand, also the stories are very interesting and developed.
