The person that I’m going to talk about is Monica Gonzalez a journalist that was born in Santiago de Chile in the year 1949. she studied in the University of Chile journalism then she starts working in the year 1971 at the newspaper El siglo . In the year 1973 after the events of nine eleven she was exiled to Paris and returned in 1978. In her main work she founded the Ciper that is a platform dedicated to investigate any type of scandals such as “milico gate”. Well, she won a lot of prizes like Konex, National journalism prize Chile, Ortega Gasset between others. I admire her because she started a platformed that is important for the opinion of the people today and she shows as a reality that’s does not know. Also, I admire her because her trajectory as a journalist is important the prizes she won, power to make information accessible for everyone I think is important in our society.

I think my major might make a better place because i will communicate the needs of the people. Also, I want to share the opinion of them, so the journalism is the tool I need to improve to do a better world. I see myself as a journalist in newspapers or radio because my university is specialized in that, so I want to be there. Talking to the people listening to them and being part of the solution. I want to show their reality like the father of photojournalism who show us the real society of the USA in the beginning of the twentieth century. If I show the reality, it might be a politician that will create a public policy, a non-governmental society or a person that will help to create a better world. Also, this will be the first step to a better country and then to a better world.
